We Believe 2007!

Thank you all for reminding me that it's time for a new post. If you follow the sports world the past few weeks have been intense for us Red Sox fans. As a result of all the late night games I did indeed get sick, but pumped enough non drowsy tylenol cold and sinus medication through me to stay up for game 4 of the World Series and then called in sick the next day. Awesome! Things I learned while watching this series:
1. I want to be a Red Sox. It's way better than being a rock star.
2. I really don't get Papelbon, but any man that does Riverdance in a kilt has my vote.
3. If we don't resign Lowell we're going to have something to complain about again. If we sign A-rod we're going to have something to complain about again.
4. Jacoby Ellsbury. Love him. Hate made up names. Either Jacob or Toby. Not Jacoby.
5. I want a parade where I get to ride in the Duck Boats.
6. Manny being Manny. Can I use that excuse?
7. Games at midnight are always better with cold Chinese food.
8. Yes, I do think I am a homeplate ump because most of those pitches were outside.
9. Dustin Pedroia is officially my favorite because he's awesome, but Youkilis has the best name to cheer.
10. YANKEES SUCK!

Live from New York!

So Saturday we went to the City with my parents and had a ton of fun. We went to the Museum of Natural History, walked around Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, Broadway, etc. Anyways when we walked past the Ed Sullivan Theater there was a sign to enter into a lottery to win free tickets to watch a taping of The Late Show with David Letterman. Big news: WE WON!

We went back down to the Manhattan Monday night and almost walked into P. Diddy on the street. Good thing his security guards were humongous and scary looking. Did not even try to take a picture. Then we ate at Carnegie Deli (delicious) and noticed that they were filming a movie on that block. We were trying to figure out who was in the movie when Terrance Howard was headed in our direction and we figured out we were in his shot. Poop! But it was fun. "Fighting" costars Channing Tatum (for all you Step Up fans.) I once got in big trouble with Travis for calling him "eye candy." That was cool. We then went and watched the taping for Friday night's show. It was freezing in the theater but they really do pump you up when you get in there. I think my hands are bruised from clapping. We saw Amanda Peet, Patrick Warburton (Putty), and the comedian Jeff Caldwell. It was really amazing to watch Letterman in action. He's really spry for an old guy.

After that we wandered around Times Square at night and got some cheesecake- and the new Feist CD which is awesome. All in all one of the most fun nights of my life. Everyone should come visit us and we'll head down there. I love NY.
