S-H-I-T-H-E-A-D

WARNING: VULGARITY AND HILARITY ENSURE!!!
This is a true story to illustrate just how ghetto Springfield can be. My co worker's best friend is an intake counselor for the Department of Youth Services (DYS). The other day she received an intake packet and needed to speak with the child and the Mother to verify that all the information was correct and that the child would be provided the services he needed. She noticed that the child's first name is spelled: S-H-I-T-H-E-A-D. She is thinking either this is a really bad joke or whoever did this kid's initial paperwork did not like him. So she speaks with the Mother hoping that she will mention the kid's name. Nothing. She tries to ask questions that would have the Mother mention his name. Nothing. Finally she has to speak with the boy. So she says, "is Shithead there? May I speak with him?" The Mother becomes immediately offended and says, "it's (pronunciation) SH-THEED, but it's still spelled SHITHEAD. Ok I thought maybe their not from this country. No, they're Black. So morale of the story, be grateful for your name. You could have been Shithead.

Brocky's 1st Birthday

I can't believe that Brocky is already one, but that's what the cake said. The Forsberg Fam got together to party (like we need a reason) and celebrate the Brock's first birthday. Admittedly, he was really tired and wasn't that interested in opening gifts. But we had a good time. He got a lot of fun toys and books, some warm pajamas for this winter, and a really fun tent with different tunnels to crawl through. He was having a ball playing hide and go seek in that thing. You could leave him in a padded room all day by himself with his tent and that would not get old. It was Curious George theme and Grandma made "mice cream" for everyone. I did learn however that we will not be having too many party favors when we have kids seeing as Travis likes to blow them in people's faces. Apparently that does not get old either. But that's why I love him. Wish you were here. Happy Birthday Brocky!

The Von Trapp Family Singers

Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start. Ok I have no shame in my game. Anyone that knows me well already knows this so I don't feel bad admitting that my favorite movie of all time is The Sound of Music. Probably like the best movie ever made. The Von Trapp Family children were performing at Yankee Candle and my Mom and I went.
It was really fun for a fan like me. Yes, it was over the top cheesy. Yes, they did a Christmas song with animals sounds. But they also did a lot of the music from the movie. The "children" were actually great grandchildren of Kirt. The girls were all wearing Maria's actual performance costumes which is kind of cool. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to a friend. Mom and I had a great time. And to all of you closet fans, so long, farewell auf wiedersehen goodbye.
