Blogging... sure, what the heck?

In an effort to be better about staying touch I have been coerced into blogging. here I am. I guess it's easier. Now it's your job to keep up with our exciting lives. Today was so exciting in fact that we both sat in workshops for 6 hours. My workshop was held in a middle school cafeteria where the seats were understandably made for 6th grade butts. First, my butt enveloped the round hard plastic chair that tilted oddly to the left so that I had to keep adjusting. If you were looking from behind it must have seemed magical that I could maintain a seated position that long without support. Next, the presentation was so interesting that I counted 3 chin whiskers (which I have plucked-we're still ok) and believe I am developing a new mole on my arm. I drew a happy face on it and I think that made all the difference. Lastly, I tried to liven up the crowd by cracking a joke... crickets. Bueller... anyone...anyone? Just because we teach special education doesn't mean we have to act special. Or does it? But Travis bought me a lobster for dinner for making it without incident through my first day. One down, four to go. I think I can, I hope I can. If you have any suggestions for workshop humor, let me know! I have to redeem myself.

You know you like it already. You were even smart enough to enable anonymous/other comments. I'm impressed by your technical prowess. I'm sure that's something you'll be able to share with your special ed classes.

If you wanted to go over the top you could have embedded this nice little remake of Bueller http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXs0_ulRKYg

Are my eyes deceiving me? Am I dreaming? Have the stars aligned and poof a new blogger has been born?
I like to think I am the reason behind your blog. So I give myself the Award of "Big Helper". I would like to thank
all my fans, everyone that voted, and all those who have believed in me. I love America. This one is for you.
And now we can all enjoy the antics of Kirstin's cluttered mind and smooshed butt as she sits in a smelly cafeteria learning
how to better wipe up poop off the walls when one of her students flings it there. Go Kirstin.
We are so proud of you. We can't wait to read about all your upcoming accomplishments. May the
force be with you.

Krissy- why are you so funny? Dang it. I would like to thank all of my fans. I still have no idea how to fix the right side of my page but it'll happen. Fine you can be the Big Helper, but this in no way moves you into the favorite cousin slot. You already know who that is. John console her. She needs to face facts.

Finally. its about time. really, isn't this fun. Say it. You LOVE it. Now that you are a "blogger" I am pleading with you to put some pictures of Brocky on your site. I need to see him...oh, and of those sassy parents of ours too. AND you and Trabis. THe girls have been asking why uncle Trabis looks like a girl (the pic of you and Lindsay). I have no real explanation. Love you

Congrats on making it to the wide world of blogging! I am excited for this new adventure in your life! I look forward to hearing about all the SPED PR's in MA. Oh, and a little about that waxky hubby of yours! : ) I hope your butt makes it through this week!

Woo Hoo, we your friends in Las Vegas are cheering! We miss you and are thrilled to have a chance to keep in touch.Your experience in the cafeteria is proof that we are constantly being prepared for what lies ahead in life. I seem to remember Kirstin telling me that there was some sort of crooked half chair to sit in when you went to work with the kids in detention here a few years back. Whatever you do don't fall asleep in the meetings, someone out there will be forced to come by and bang on the table while whistling to get your attention like you did to the kids here. : )

John asked me last night if you had a new post. I guess you have quite the fan in him. He thinks you are hilarious. But get this right Sistah you will never be as funny as me!

And I am crushed that I am not your favorite cousin. At least I am your mom's favorite niece. In fact I think she likes me more than she likes you.

Now get to writing some new posts!

Kirstin,
Now, I have another blog site to take Oma to visit. She's been enjoying Dana's, Nicole's, Kristine's, and Janeen's. She's waiting for Shannon's! :) Thanks, Krisitne, for getting Kirstin involved - now, maybe, you can work on your sister (although, your mom told me why she did not, and I probably would have been on Shannon's side of blogging while I was raising little tykes, too). I am looking forward to reading your blogs. By the way, I doodle (the artist thing in me that I have been doing all my educational life) as much as I can when no one is looking to keep my sanity while attending these many, long and arduous teacher meetings. My motto, "Just let me teach already!" I hope that you and Travis have a great school year.
Love,
Aunt Lee

Hi Kirstin,
Uncle Kyle recommends that you do as they do in one of the recent IBM commercials and play "catch phrase BINGO" during your long boring meetings. IBM's new catch phrase is something like stop talking and start doing. :)
